Dr. Adam Hughston is board certified in gastroenterology with Lubbock Digestive Disease Associates. He performs routine GI procedures such as upper endoscopy and colonoscopy in the diagnosis, screening and surveillance of gastrointestinal diseases and cancers. In addition, he also performs complex polypectomy and dilation in addition to other endoscopic procedures. He is a member of ACG, ASGE, TSGE and the Crohns and colitis foundation.
Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?
I chose gastroenterology because it allows for me to treat a large variety of patients and conditions while allowing me to do a variety of procedures.
Do you have a specialty of interest in Gastroenterology?
My clinical interests include endoscopy and colonoscopy, colon cancer screening, esophageal disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, cirrhosis management and more.

I have had only good experiences with Dr Hughston. He and his staff are all very curious and kind.
Their GI facility is very nice. The staff are very mannerly and skilled. I had an upper GI and was in and out before you could believe it. Dr Hughston explained the procedure slowly and in a language anyone can understand. I will go back to his facility next time I need a GI test or procedure. I am a very picky Master’s prepared RN and they were very good, and I was pleased with their care.
